Series: Pyroplastic Deformation Series

Pyroplastic Deformation Series is about metamorphosis. The porcelain body is formulated to encourage movement. Movement through time and temperature is carefully configured through calculated, observational, and adaptive firing schedules. Internal stress and release allows gravity to begin its work. This transformation of material is what I am interested in. Deformation of the Mass is achieved through time and temperature; the Movement / Transformation, determines the point at which the long climb and soak are ended. Ceramic matter is frozen into a new State, defined through Time, Temperature, Chemistry, and Gravity.
